Travel content

From Sichuan we drive north to Gansu province, passing by Tibetan monasteries and spectacular countryside. For the more adventurous of you, we would propose this tour as a self driving tour, but of course an experienced driver can also be provided.

Travel Itinerary

  • Day 1:
    Beijing / Shanghai - Chengdu (D)

    After arrival transfer to hotel

    Visit the Giant Panda Breeding Research Base (driver provided)

    Overnight in 4* Yinhe Dynasty Hotel

  • Day 2:
    Chengdu – Leshan - Chengdu (B,L)

    Drive to Leshan

    Visit Grand Buddha at the Lingyun Temple

    A boat trip on Min River

    Drive back to Chengdu (driver provided)

    Overnight in 4* Dynasty Hotel

  • Day 3:
    Chengdu - Jiuzhaigou (B,L)

    Transfer to airport for the flight to Jiuzhaigou

    Drive to Huanglong national park for a refreshing walk

    Drive to Jiuzhaigou

    Overnight in 4* hotel Gesang

  • Day 4:
    Jiuzhaigou (B,L)

    Full day tour of Jiuzhaigou national park

    Overnight in 4*hotel Gesang

  • Day 5:
    Jiuzhaigou - Langmusi (B,L,D)

    Drive via Ruoergai to Langmusi (about 320 km/ 7 hrs) and enjoy the landscape along the way

    Overnight in 3* Langmusi Hotel

  • Day 6:
    Langmusi - Xiahe (B,L,D)

    Take a nature walk and visit a lama monastery

    Drive from Langmusi to Xiahe (about 240 km; 5 hours), visit the Milarepa tower

    Overnight in 3* hotel Labuleng Xiling

  • Day 7:
    Xiahe - Lanzhou (B,L)

    Visit the impressive Labrang monastery

    Drive to Lanzhou, visit one of the hundreds of mosques in the area

    Transfer to the airport, fly to Beijing / Shanghai
