Travel content

The seaside city of Qingdao is an ideal retreat for lovers of fresh seafood, beer and quiet walks along the beach boardwalks. Greatly influenced by German culture and blessed with Lao Shan’s spring water, Qingdao is now the center of Chinese beer production and hosts a lively beer festival every August. But you may savor superb beer, gorgeous sea views, and delve into Qingdao’s rich cultural mix at any time.

Travel Itinerary

  • Day 1:
    Beijing / Shanghai - Qingdao

    Morning bullet train from Beijing / Shanghai to Qingdao, where our local tour guide will meet you upon arrival.

    Then you will visit Lao Shan scenic area. Lao Shan mountain has varying vegetation at different elevations and is one of the most venerated Taoist pilgrimage destinations.

    You will visit the pavilions of Taiqing Gong (Palace of Great Purity).

    Overnight in Qingdao

  • Day 2:
    Qingdao (B)

    After breakfast enjoy Zhanqiao Pier, one of the most famous places in Qingdao known for its unrestricted ocean vistas.

    Later you will visit Xiaoyushan Park and Colorado (Bada Guan) with its historic German feel and gorgeous Western-style villas.

    Enjoy a visit to the Qingdao Beer Culture Museum and discover the unique story of this local industry. Then visit Little Qingdao Isle.

    The final stop of the day is the majestic Catholic Cathedral.

    Overnight in Qingdao

  • Day 3:
    Qingdao - Beijing / Shanghai(B)

    Tour a Guest House.

    Visit a canon emplacement on Qingdao hill.

    Stop by Ao Fan Stadium ,the arena for sailing races of the 2008 Olympic Games(seen from outside).

    Stop by the TV Tower.

    Transfer to the train station and take the bullet train back to Beijing/ Shanghai in the afternoon
